Start assessment →IQ primarily concerns performance on cognitive tasks such as reasoning, pattern recognition, attention and working memory. Emotional intelligence concerns abilities related to recognizing, understanding and regulating emotions and navigating relationships and social situations.
The abbreviations EI (Emotional Intelligence) and EQ (Emotional Quotient) are commonly used for emotional intelligence. The term EIQ also appears occasionally, but PICALLW uses EQ. IQ and EQ are not opposites and are not combined into a single overall score.
The system can select subsequent tasks or situations based on how the assessment is progressing. Adaptivity is intended to adjust difficulty and content to the participant's responses, not to create a clinical diagnosis.
Questions and tasks can adapt to performance and previous responses.
The shorter version provides a quicker orientational view; the longer version produces a more detailed profile.
IQ, General EQ and Workplace EQ are not one scale; results are presented separately.
Assessments are available in Slovenian and English directly in a modern web browser.
Cognitive and emotional assessments capture only part of human functioning. Concentration, fatigue, interpretation of questions, experience, motivation and testing conditions can all influence the outcome.
A cognitive result does not fully represent creativity, knowledge, motivation, practical judgement or personality.
An EQ result is a structured view of responses to emotional and social situations, not a clinical assessment of personality or mental health.
Basic and Extended are different assessment depths. IQ, General EQ and Workplace EQ are different domains and should not be directly converted into one another.
Information entered during an assessment, responses and results may be stored in the back-end database. They are used to operate the system, monitor statistics and improve the assessments over time.
Start with Basic for a shorter overview or choose Extended for a more detailed assessment.
Articles explain what orientational results can tell you, what they do not measure, and why no single ability describes a whole person.
